Grønn mingling: Circular economy
Welcome to Stammen’s first Grønn Mingling, where good green food, green ideas, and meaningful meetings between people come together.
This event is supported by Trondheim kommune, and we can therefore offer free Sopp Stroganoff for all guests.
The topic of our first Grønn Mingling is circular economy. There will be two shorter lectures by Daniel Müller and Tomás Hernández, followed by a conversation facilitated by Avijit Pandit.
Daniel Müller is a professor at NTNU who studies the circular economy by looking at the physical reality behind it — the materials, resources, and limits of the planet. In this talk, he will focus on nutrient cycles and how soil and water cycles are becoming increasingly linked. How circular is our food system? Does circularity matter? How can we make our food system more sustainable?
Tomás Hernández is an enthusiast of natural industrial processes where no energy is consumed and no greenhouse gas emissions are produced. His aim is to raise awareness in Norway of a very efficient technology (the Natural Wastewater Treatment System by José Luis Peraza) and at the same time highlight its contribution to the circular economy.
Avijit Pandit (Avi) works with circular economy and sustainability at NTNU. He is interested in how land, water, and food systems are connected, and how resources can be used more wisely. During the event, he will facilitate the conversation, helping to link the different perspectives and guide the discussion toward practical and meaningful insights.
From 20:00 the same evening, there will be a free improvised theatre show in English with Gibberish.
The next Grønn Mingling will take place on January 30th, organized by KVANN, and will be about “Biologisk mangfold i hagen”.
