Poetry night
Poetry accompanies moments of crisis as testimony, as consolation, as witness. Amnesty International and poets, scholars, and artivists affiliated with NTNU invite you to a communal event of sharing and listening to poetry on March 5 @ 18.30-20.30 (@Stammen Café). The event is free and all languages, listeners, poets, lovers of words, sceptics, and lurkers are welcome!
About the poetry session: The event is co-organized by Amnesty International (Gwen Elliott and Leni Hansen) and NTNU’s Just Pedagogies and TransLit projects. The poetry session will be led by our guest poet, Daniel Woody, and NTNU’s poetic accomplices, Libe Garcia Zarranz and Hanna Musiol.
About our guest Daniel Woody: Woody is a poet, educator and researcher currently based at Örebro University in Sweden. Prior to the move to Scandinavia from his hometown of Las Vegas, Woody taught creative and academic writing at New York University’s campus in Shanghai. You can find some of his poetry in literary journals such as Chicago Review, Pleiades: Literature in Context, and RHINO: Poetry Journal.
